Anna Russell is a photographer and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Born in Mississippi, Anna received her B.F.A. in Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008, focussing on copper plate photogravure. Shortly thereafter she began assisting photogravurist Lothar Osterberg in NYC. She uses instant and large format films almost exclusively and enjoys the unpredictable nature of such a medium.
Her work is an echo - loosely tied to memory - with remnants of both life and death juxtaposed.
